Updated: Apr 23, 2020

Tune into this Facebook event on tips for staying fit and working out at home.

Kim Leverett is the owner of A Kick Above Personal Training Studio in Little Rock, AR, founded in 2011. The catalyst for starting a private studio was her desire to see people live strong, healthy and physically productive lives. The private gym atmosphere allows for adults and children to receive targeted, group or one-on-one, personal training. Kim creates a training regimen for people of all ages and fitness levels.

In addition to being a business owner, she is an active member of Saint Mark Baptist Church and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Beta Pi Omega Chapter. Additionally, as a five-year breast cancer survivor, Kim is actively involved, as a participant and team sponsor, with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Kim is responsible for training more than 60 clients on a weekly basis. Kim and her staff provide health related services to students who participate in a grant-funded after school program targeting at risk youth called Tendaji at Saint Mark Baptist Church.

She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier College of Pharmacy and was a staff pharmacist for Wal-Mart stores in the Central Arkansas area for 26 years. Kim holds certificates from the National Exercise Trainer’s Association (NETA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), is a Healthcare Provider for the American Heart Association, and licensed member of the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy.
