Little Rock, AR, January 16, 2020 – Every year on the third Monday of January, organizations across the United States of America participate in a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Over 1,000 chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® participate in this Community Impact Day by partnering with other likeminded organizations and volunteering in their local communities.

Little Rock, AR, April 4, 2019 – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Beta Pi Omega Chapter, in partnership with Saint Mark Baptist Church and LaKisha M. Johnson Ministries, will sponsor a bone marrow drive, “Swab a Cheek. Save A Life” for sorority sister and Little Rock School District Teacher, Tonya Courtney-Nichols.

of members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® substitute in their signature
color of salmon pink for the color of red to support the American Heart Association’s
National Wear Red Day.

Little Rock, AR, October 19, 2015 – Beta Pi Omega Chapter will host a Backpack Drive and Flu Clinic on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Shorter College – S.S. Morris Student Center located at 604 Locust Street in North Little Rock.

Every year on October 24, United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) chapters and members celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter. The Alpha Kappa Alpha - UNA-USA partnership presents a special opportunity for both organizations to reach out to communities across the United States to educate others on the lifelong work of the United Nations.

Beta Pi Omega chapter will host the Sorority’s Community Impact Day: Childhood Hunger Awareness on October 16, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 a.m. and 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at the Walmart Neighborhood Markets located at 2510 Cantrell Road in Little Rock, and 8801 Hwy 107 in Sherwood.
