40 Days of Peace

Beta Pi Omega members will participate in a 40 Days of Peace Project to be launched in conjunction with the 2014 MLK, Jr. Day of Service activities and implemented during the 6 weeks following. The City-wide Clean Up will begin at 12:00pm and the program activities will be held from 2-5.

 

The AMLKC requests at least 100 AKA graduate and undergraduate members’ from its chapters in Jefferson, Faulkner and Pulaski counties to participate by volunteering for the MLK Community Empowerment Summit and Carnival. Twenty-five (25) AKA’s are needed to start cleaning up at 4:30 pm when the event starts to wrap up, thirty (30) to interact and watch the youth in attendance outside, ten (10) to serve lunch during feeding, five (5) to assist during the adult summit in the gym for vendors and participants, and the reaming thirty (30) would act as runners, ushers, and greeters.
